A Brief History of the Sharon Chinese Baptist Church

Sharon Chinese Baptist Church began meetings in 1978. Initially, church members were mostly new immigrants from Hong Kong, who used to attend Tsim Sha Tsui Baptist Church. It has found its homes in the Sunset District in San Francisco, serving the Chinese in the area. With the growth of the ministry, church members also grew in number. God has prepared for us the present location at Irving Street and 17th Avenue. Our Church has always observed the system/policy of the Baptist Church and maintained the truth in the Bible, spreading the Gospel and serving the community. We do not have exquisite equipment or a beautiful sanctuary, but members are filled with the love of Christ. Denominations and languages are no barrier to our being one in God, learning and growing. We sincerely welcome anyone who is searching for a warm and spiritual big family to join us to pursue the truth in the Bible and to grow in Christ.
